Well, this week marked my return to the working world. My first day back was October 1. It would have started even better if someone had not backed into me that morning. Boooooooooooooo. Not the best way to start my day. ARGH!

But the actual work part? Really quite good. My coworkers and my boss were so thrilled to have me back — and that felt so great! The woman I will be job sharing with seems to complement me well. I’m very optimistic that we will get on well. She seems to by in sync with my work style and she is also a mom of two boys, the same ages as mine!, so I think we will have a lot in common. She will be in the office three days a week, just like me. We will share two of those three days. The bosses are happy, and the sales people (that’s us, btw ) are happy — so it is all good!

The babes did well with my parents.  And parents did well with the babes.

I won’t lie though. It was great to be home with them on Friday and just chill. 

I am loving this "best of both worlds" thing I have going on. WOOHOO!

Now to just knock my sales quota for the year outta the ballpark! 

I have been a bad blogger. What can I say? I’ve been on the dole for the last year caring for our two boys, and have been just slightly crazed. Blogging became an I’ll-get-to-it-after-I-just-finish-this-task wishlist item on my To-Do list like washing the windows and organizing closets. Hah!

But my year is almost up, and I feel the need to pour out my heart and soul again. 

I will be going back to work part-time (YIPEE!) and will have essentially, the best of both worlds. A steady income in a job that I like and enough time with my growing boys. 

So once-faithful readers, don’t give up on me yet. I’m coming back… Hopefully, so are you.

My FIL called yesterday afternoon.

Just to see how we were doing. This is the one we don’t see very often.

Jack is currently in I-must-inspect-every-phone-call-that-comes-through-here mode, so he wanted to talk on the phone. I passed him the phone and he proceeded to have a conversation with his Grand-dad for a few seconds.

I had not told him who it was before I gave him the phone.

When he handed it back to me, he pointed at the phone and said, "Da-da!" — which is what he calls FIL.

Considering Jack has only seen him twice so far this year, I thought that was pretty good.

What good are Air Miles if it’s still going to cost you an arm and a legto get somewhere, I ask you. How is it with 10,000+ air miles, we still cannot afford to go South. BOO!
