Thirteen Things about ME — TODAY 1. I participated in Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day by purchasing an Oreo Blizzard. 2. I love watching DS grow and learn. He is so beautiful it moves me to tears most days. 3. My DH is really amazing. He is so involved as a Papa and is always there to give me a hand. I love him tremendously for it, and know that I married very well. 4. I am looking forward to being home with my babies soon. 5. I need to catch up on my reading. Seriously. 6. I am addicted to confession sites. LOL 7. This baby moves around a LOT and generally kicks the crap out of me daily. 8. I miss some friends. 9. I love my old friends. 10. I’m so proud of my BF and how is she adjusting to motherhood. It really agrees with her. 11. I let DS have ice cream for dinner tonight. I feel like a bad momma for that. 12. In fact, DH had ice cream for dinner too. Then he had spaghetti for "dessert". LMAO 13. I really need to blog more. Links to other Thursday Thirteens! 1. (leave your link in comments, I’ll add you here!) |
The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your Thirteen in others comments. It’s easy, and fun! Be sure to update your Thirteen with links that are left for you, as well! I will link to everyone who participates and leaves a link to their 13 things. Trackbacks, pings, comment links accepted!

Michele sent me to say how happy you sound in motherhood! Hold on to every moment of the joy, and remember to let go of the difficult seconds (which unfortunately occasionally join together to make minutes, or even worse!)
Best,
N.

It’s such a joy to read words from a mom who so very much loves being a mom, and is so obviously made to be one.
A couple of quick observations, by the numbers:
#2: This is why I love being a parent. This is why I love seeing other parents have similar moments. It’s magic.
#3: Sharing it makes parenthood so much, I don’t know, MORE. I love watching my wife with our kids. I feel most whole when we’re both elbow-deep in kid-stuff.
#11: Parenting means sometimes breaking a rule or two. I love crossing these “soft” lines with the kids every once in a while. Letting them stay up a bit late, eating the so-called wrong thing at the wrong time, leaving the water pitcher on the table so we can go outside and play catch…these are the things they’ll treasure. You’re making moments.
Anyway, I’ve rambled. Just wanted you to know I love the spirit in which you’ve written this. I get it, too, and it’s a thrill.
