Oh, I *always* have the best intentions of blogging and posting about my life in general, but dammit, sometimes LIFE just gets in the freakin’ way.

I haven’t been blogging in what seems like forever. I’ve been dealing with the second pregnancy, work, chasing a toddler, and just trying to keep on top of life in general. Whew! It’s tiring! LOL I also felt for a while that I didn’t have anything to say… Maybe now I do.

So…. I will try to write something at least once a week. That seems manageable. Plus, I miss hearing from you wonderful commenters!

I’ll be back on Thursday with my Thursday 13.

Last night, our company held a triathlon in honour of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

It’s a very serious event (not!), with the three legs of the triathlon being: Skate, Run & Drink with all proceeds go to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. My boss adopted the event as his own after participating in one a few cold Februaries ago in Ottawa.

Needless to say, I was very nervous that the night would not go off perfectly (or, as I like to say, as imperfectly as planned) and people would be left wondering, “Why did they hire this PR person anyway?”

It’s amazing what years of workplace abuse can do to a person’s self-esteem. Apparently, I was taking it quite personally for all those years. Bastards!

Anyway…. I had had anxiety dreams about missing prizes, not enough attendees, getting locked out of the building, etc. blah, blah, blah Well, I am so proud to report today that not only was the night a smashing success, we raised $400+, not including the corporate donations still to come. I also brainstormed on how to improve the event for next year, and really blow my boss’s mind! LOL

Bossperson was thoroughly impressed with the event and my handling of it. Moreoever!, I had a wonderful night with my coworkers, which I can honestly say has not happened since I was a waitress in university and a good time with coworkers consisted of 10 cent draft at the neighbourhood bar.

I love my coworkers. And best of all… I think they might just love me back. *******************YIPPEE!!!!****************************

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Yes, it has been so long since I’ve done this. I had sworn I was back with a vengeance, and then I just got caught up in life, and time seemed to slip through my fingers every evening.

I am here to share some stuff – for now – today. 

Where to begin?

For starters, those of you that were following me late last year knew I was going to start a new job mid-January. I just “celebrated” my four-week anniversary, and I freaking love it. The job itself is not anything new to me, but the company I work for is amazing. It is driven by positive energy and creative thought. People are treated with respect and everyone loves coming to work everyday. As if! LOL Yes! It’s true! 

I am learning so much and finding my groove, but overall, I am thrilled that I made the leap. I know I will be a part of many great ventures at this new place. It is very exciting.

Also, there is other thrilling news to share.

Baby J is going to be a big brother sometime in October. M. and I are over the moon with excitement. I am 7 weeks along, and feeling quite fine. I do feel somewhat guilty because I feel that I am “paying enough attention” to this pregnancy. The first time around, I was conscious of it 24/7. This time, it seems that between the new job and chasing around Baby J, that this little one is already playing second fiddle. L Say it isn’t so. I promised my mom that I would take just as many pictures of the second one as I did with Baby J. I’m sure my feelings will get caught up as I grow. I feel too “busy” to think about being pregnant. How weird is that?!
